Animal Assisted Learning

Animal Assisted Learning is a proven program that uses a variety of animals, both big and small, to enhance literacy, math skills, and address behavioral issues. Each session focuses on a general educational concept, often involving a horse or pony to participate as children engage in learning games, reading, or addressing challenging situations. Horses may be present to assist with reading using props, or to help children identify and work through personal challenges. By having these intuitive animals and a trained facilitator available, children are often more motivated to read, solve problems, or discuss their own situations. We have also seen significant success with small animals in this program.
